If you are suffering with chronic pelvic pain in any of the following areas, we can help you to identify areas of weakness using real time ultrasound imaging of muscles. The aim is to learn to activate these muscles again so you can start to benefit form your pilates or exercise programs and start to move out of the cycle of chronic pain. We also offer hands on techniques and perhaps dry needling for those that like this form of treatment for their muscles. We use hands on techniques often at the start of a program to try and help relieve pain and allow you to move better, start to feel able to exercise and ultimately to give you freedom and independence from constantly needing treatment.
- Sacral pain. This is pain related to the 2 joints at the back of your pelvis which can give deep buttock pain, or pain radiating down the back of your leg and sometimes through to the groin.
- Coccyx pain. This pain is very much right where you sit and makes sitting very uncomfortable. We can get right onto the coccyx from external or, with consent, internal approach.
- Pubic symphysis. This is the bone at the front of your pelvis and often problems go include pain and tenderness through inner thighs
- Groin, hips, low back. All of these areas may be part of a “pelvic girdle pain” presentation and we will always look at the “big picture” so that nothing is missed.
