Conditions for women sexual pain problems

Sexual pain problems can significantly impact a woman’s intimate relationships and overall well-being. In this section, we will discuss sexual pain problems in women, including their potential causes, symptoms, and the role of pelvic floor physiotherapy in addressing and managing sexual discomfort.
				Vaginismus
This is a term meaning that the muscles of the pelvic floor have become tight. This narrows the vaginal entrance and makes attempted penetration hurt. Some women push through hoping it will go away. Unfortunately the body tries to protect itself from pain by tightening the muscles. The body thinks it will prevent the pain by preventing penetration: its a vicious cycle.
We use various ways to help. Ways such as relaxation of your pelvic floor, relaxation of whole body, use of special vaginal dilators to help you to allow your pelvic floor to relax.

				Vulvodynia
This is also a problem which makes penetration painful. It usually includes pelvic floor tightness as in vaginismus, but the pain has a particular burning or scratching feeling and the whole vagina or vaginal entrance is sensitive even to very light touch.
